Mount Isa
Located in the Gulf Country region of Queensland, Mount Isa is known as the 'Rodeo Capital of Australia' and is the administrative, commercial and industrial centre for the state's north-west region. The city features a cinema complex, events complex, Go Kart club, ten-pin bowling, and a range of sporting facilities including an aquatic centre, skate park, sporting complex, and sports fields and courts. Our Mount Isa campus is located just off the Barkly Highway approximately five minutes east of the town centre.
What's on offer at the Mount Isa campus
Our Mount Isa campus features a range of purpose-built facilities including a construction workshop, metal fabrication facilities, and specialised automotive, diesel fitting, and fitting and machining workshops. The campus offers a wide range of study areas including aged care, automotive, building and construction, child care, nanotechnology, engineering, health, hospitality, and skills for work and vocational pathways.

Automotive training workshop
Our automotive students learn hands on in our fully-equipped automotive training workshop. Learn how to store and care for the same components, parts, tools, and equipment used in the automotive industry. With access to the latest in electrical and electronic diagnostic test equipment you'll graduate with the practical skills you need to hit the ground running.
Campus library
Our libraries have a number of facilities such as individual study spaces, group study areas, computer labs, and audio-visual viewing areas. There are a number of collections available including texts and course-related materials, general reading materials, ebooks, PDFs, journals, newspapers, directories, encyclopaedias, and government acts and regulations.
Video conferencing facilities
We want to support our students no matter where they are or what study mode they prefer. Our Mount Isa campus brings our teachers into campus with our state-of-the-art video conferencing facilities. These training facilities are designed to provide tutorial support to students who are studying externally. With our virtual training rooms you can speak directly to your teacher, no matter how far away you are, and interact with your classmates in a real-time environment.

Public transport
Taxi services are available through United Cab Company, however there is no public transport available to the Mount Isa campus.
Cycling
If you live nearby, cycling could be another cost effective option to get to class.

We have plenty of free on-site parking available for students at our Mount Isa campus.
