Within Australia, many people do not possess the literacy and numeracy skills needed to participate fully in modern life and work. Facilitated by expert teaching staff who understand that each learner is different, you will be provided with the support and guidance you need to complete your studies.
Throughout your training, you will develop basic skills in learning, reading, writing, speaking and listening, and numeracy and gain confidence to become more involved in the community.
Upon successful completion of this course you will have developed reading, writing, numeracy, oral communication and learning skills at Australian Core Skills Framework (ACSF) Pre-Level 1.

At TAFE Queensland we provide training to people who are under-utilised in the labour market, by building the skills of young people, Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people, people with disability, mature-age job seekers, women re-entering the workforce, and people from culturally and linguistically diverse background.
You may be eligible for fee-free training under the Skills for Education and Employment (SEE) program. Through SEE, participants can access free foundation skills training across a variety of courses and qualifications. Eligibility criteria applies.
