Study civil construction
Civil construction involves the design, construction and maintenance of both natural and physically built environments such as roads, railways, buildings, water reservoirs, sewer systems, bridges, and tunnels. Qualified civil construction workers are currently in high demand for major infrastructure projects in Queensland such as highways, rail networks, and dams.
At TAFE Queensland you'll learn hands-on in our simulated construction sites with access to the same machinery, tools and equipment used in industry. Our teachers are industry-current and will prepare you with the practical skills that employers are looking for.
We offer a range of civil construction courses from entry-level certificates through to our Associate Degree in Civil Engineering (HED001). Gain fundamental civil construction skills with our entry-level certificates or shape the future of Australia's infrastructure projects as an engineering associate. We also offer civil construction courses specialising in road maintenance, pipe laying, and plant operations.
