Course overview

Advance your first aid knowledge or update your current certification with this CPR course. This course will add value to your existing qualification, giving you the skills to confidently provide cardiopulmonary resuscitation in the work place or community.

This course offers you the skills to perform cardiopulmonary resuscitation in line with current ARC guidelines, operate an automated external defibrillator (AED), and how to accurately convey incident details to emergency service personnel. Our industry-embedded teachers offer one-on-one guidance to help you succeed in your studies no matter what flexible study option you choose.

Successful completion of this skill set will give you the confidence to respond in emergency situations while at work or in the community. To maintain currency you will be required to complete a CPR course every 12 months.

Selection criteria

It is highly recommended that you are aged 15 or older by the course commencement date.
Note - For anyone under 18 years, you may be required to attend class and participate with adult learners.

To successfully meet assessment requirements you are required to demonstrate 2 minutes of uninterrupted single rescuer cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) on an adult manikin on the floor as well as 2 minutes of uninterrupted single rescuer (CPR) on an infant manikin on a hard surface.
